What is the ideal fabric for pajamas?
We think that it is a natural fabric that feels good against our skin and has excellent functionality, so We have planned and developed such an ideal fabric, and that is 100% cotton double gauze.
With Traditional Scouring Method
Special comfort of wearing
This fabric is treated using the laborious technique called the "Wazarashi Method", which is Japanese traditional method of cotton scouring. It takes over 48 hours in a cauldron to remove the impure substances within the cotton while keeping the fluffiness of the cotton. During this process, each fiber of the cotton is not pressurized, allowing the fiber to maintain its natural structure. There are only a few factories that can treat this method.
※On the other hand, Western-style bleaching involves sandwiching the fabric between rollers and processing it all at once in about 40 minutes.

Cotton gauze fabrics are often used in baby clothing because they have soft and comfortable feel. Our double gauze fabric is also made from 100% cotton, and it is layered and connected pointly by two single gauze fabrics, which is gently woven like including air.

- The function of the fiber structure
Cotton materials generally have good water absorption, breathability and retention properties, and these are derived from the fiber structure. The top of the cotton fiber is rounded, so that makes softness. Furthermore, they have a big surface area due to their fine and irregular structure. The presence of numerous tiny crevices, twists, and turns in the fibers provides more surface area for water absorption of moisture by cotton. Also, they have good heat retension due to their crevices between the fabric fibers traps air.

As a common, samue has three quarter sleeves because of easy to move, but our Samue Pajama is for sleeep, so we designed it to be long-long sleeves to prevent invation of cold air from your wrist and ankle.
What is "Samue"?
- Samue is traditionally worn by monks during their daily tasks such as cleaning of temples, chopping firewood, and working in the fields, and its loose fit and fashionable design like kimono are popular today in Japan. Some people even wear it as a casual wear. However, it is often made of stiff and durable materials such as shijira or broadweave, and they often feel stiff and uncomfortable to wear. Therefore, we make Samue from 100% cotton double gauze fabric, so they will be more comfortable as pajamas.

Customize the sleeve length
You can get the sleeve length longer or shorter in 1cm increments up to 10cm.
Is the sleeve length of your own pajamas fit with your arms length?
YES
→ Compare the measurements of your pajamas with the size chart and adjust the sleeve length.
No
→ Measure the center back sleeve length* and compare the measurements with the size chart to make them shorter or longer.
*the center back sleeve length is the back of the neck (center of the base of the back neckline) to the end of the sleeve.
How to calculate the size to adjust by comparing with the size chart?
Sizes differ from design to design, so we recommend to compare with the center back sleeve length.
- （shoulder width ÷ 2）+ sleeve length ＝ center back sleeve length
- ①If your bust size is 90cm, we recommend you to select M size from the corresponding bust size.
②The shoulder width（68÷2）+（the sleeve length）44.5=（The center back sleeve length）78.5cm･･･It is same as M size of the size chart.
③The center back sleeve length of your own pajamas is 75cm, so adjust to shorten by 3.5cm(78.5-75).
→Specify the selection "3cm shorter". ※If you are unsure about how long to adjust, it is better to make the sleeve length longer, because you can fix it later if you make it longer.

Is the inseam length of your own pajamas fit with your legs length?
YES
→ Compare the measurements of your pajamas with the size chart and adjust the sleeve length.
No
→ Lie the pants flat on a table and measure along the seam from the crotch the hem.

Insert elastic or string into the hem
It is helpful to prevent the hem riding up.
Elastic Hem
It is flat and about 1.5cm wide. As adding elastic to the hem of the pants, the hem around will deflate, so the inseam length will be about 2 to 3 cm shorter. If you concern about that, we recommend adjusting it 2 to 3 cm longer.
When you choose "Elastic Hem (loose)", the elastic length will be one size longer.
String Hem
We will add strings which made with same color and fabric as Samue pajamas into the hem of the pants. ※This option is only for Samue Pajamas.

※The hip around is particularly stressed by turning over, so we recommend to select size with room for more than 20cm for the measurement of your hip.
※Be especially careful about this when using non-stretch fabrics.
